But the
coating does: depending on the humidity of the environment, it attracts water more or less quickly and
does not readily give it back.

A simple oven, ideally electric, can help in this case. Spread the electrodes out on a
grid or tray and bake at 250 – 350 °C for three hours or longer. This process also drives stubborn moisture out of the rods and renews the welding experience.

Instructions for regeneration (“re-dry”) can often be found on the package of the electrodes themselves. However, the recipe described above always works. Then leave to cool and serve with a dollop of cream. Bon appétit!
Incidentally, if you hate cooking or get scolded by your better half after such a procedure, store the sticks in an airtight container.

When the chef rings twice.
Only works if the wrapping is still whole.

If welding electrodes become damp, they will no longer ignite and burn properly.
Put them in the oven!

[753
827,794
post-8385","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-stick-welding","tag-dryweldingelectrodes","tag-welding","resize-featured-image
[2829,2990
["GET
