But SCRAP: The wheel is already off, the car is already on trestles. To be honest, this still happens even after decades.  So put the wheel back on, lower the rolling doghouse, engage the gear and handbrake AND ONLY THEN release the nut. Then up with the crate and wheel down again. Crap.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The solution to the mishap lies in the wrench drawer. Depending on the vehicle and the design of the brake, this looks slightly different &#8211; in any case, the wheel bearing and drive shaft are supported on the base frame of the floating calliper brake with this blocking policy.
